NASA EPSCoR Basic Research NOFO FY27

NASA has released the FY27 NASA EPSCoR Basic Research solicitation.

For this funding cycle, New Mexico will not conduct a new internal pre-proposal competition. Two pre-proposals, representing the University of New Mexico and New Mexico State University, were previously selected through the New Mexico NASA EPSCoR Technical Advisory Committee (TAC) review process conducted in spring 2026.

Those projects had been selected to move forward under the prior NASA EPSCoR Basic Research cycle; however, NASA subsequently canceled that solicitation before final proposal submission. Under the FY27 opportunity (p. 5), New Mexico is eligible to submit two proposals. Accordingly, the two projects previously selected through the TAC process will move forward for development and submission in this cycle.
